June 10, 2022 was a historic day for our district! We signed contracts with MD Power for the first fully operational waste to energy gasification plant in the continental United States. We also made official, via signatures, the letter of intent for the construction and operation of a medical glove factory to be located in Lake Village. ATM gloves from Vietnam plans to employ between 200 and 300 people at this facility.
But the good news wasn't limited to Lake Village, AR. We also signed a contract on a waste to energy agreement that will provide funding for the Southeast Arkansas Economic Development District to support solid waste infrastructure within the district.
